LORAN — Finally a BSC token you can be proud to talk about

Just under a week ago, LORAN launched their own token — LORAN Token (SYMBOL: THELORAN). It was a highly successful launch, growing their market cap from $40k at launch to an all-time high of $350k, with a wave of highs over the first few days. At the time of writing, it has taken a dip, largely due to the drop in BNB value as a result of Monday’s market. For full disclosure — I am the dev — and I’m fully doxxed.

At a basic level, LORAN Token is a rewards token, with 8% of every transaction being automatically converted to our chosen rewards coin. To begin with, it is BNB, but we constantly are scanning the market and will recommend a range of coins to the community each month for them to vote on. We recognise that the market for reward coins is fairly saturated. However, we have the option to change the tokenomics to adjust to market demands — what is a rewards token now, maybe a tax-free token in 3 months time.

But LORAN is much more than just a rewards token. There are big plans on the roadmap for monetizing our NEXTGEMTOKENS brand (https://nextgemtokens.com), which is currently in alpha, and plan to expand beyond a simple coin listing site, with charts, pricing and wallet checking. We are planning to offer discounts on advertising if it is paid for in their token, LORAN. The advanced features of NEXTGEMTOKENS will require the user to hold a certain amount of LORAN Token.

Perhaps most excitingly, from my point of view as a teacher, is that we are developing our own real-world online teaching and tutoring service, through our brand, Pineapple Education (https://pineappleeducation.com). All being well, we will launch in Q1 2022. We already have two fully qualified UK teachers signed up, with more verbally agreeing to join after launch. Our target is mainly the Asian market and we see this as a massive area of growth. Students (and their families) will be offered discounts for buying with crypto, but particularly in LORAN Token. Likewise teachers will be paid more if they accept payment in LORAN. Building on this, we are planning on channeling some of the profits to a charitable arm, which will help provide access to education to those who cannot access it — particularly in parts of Africa and the Middle East.

Our plans go beyond these as well, including the now obligatory NFTs. More excitingly, we are exploring the possibility of having our own simple blockchain games that will feature betting elements — of course using LORAN Token.

Looking at their whitepaper (v3 at the time of writing — https://www.lorantoken.com/wp-content/uploads/2021/09/LORAN-Whitepaper-v3-LD.pdf ),we included the famous quote from Shakespeare: “Jack of all trades, master of none”, which is often used in a derogatory way, but we embrace the full quote: “Jack of all trades, master of none, is almost always better than a master of one”. We’re building LORAN in this image.
